Matinee ("the App") respects your privacy.
The App does not require an account and does not collect personal information such as name, email address, phone number, or payment information.
The App stores the following information locally on your device: the videos you have added to your queue, the sources you have configured, app preferences and settings, and a temporary cache of video thumbnails.
Local data remains on your device and is not transmitted to the developer's servers.
The App uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your queue, sources, watched state, and settings across your iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. This data is stored in your private iCloud database and is accessible only to you.
The developer does not have access to the contents of your iCloud database. You can disable sync at any time in iOS Settings under iCloud.
Connecting a Raindrop.io account is optional. If you choose to do so, the App opens an authorization window provided by Raindrop. The resulting access token is stored in the device Keychain and is used to fetch the contents of the collection you select.
If you enable the optional "mark as watched" tag, the App writes a #watched tag back to the corresponding bookmark in your Raindrop account.
Requests are sent directly from your device to Raindrop. The developer does not proxy or store these requests.
When you add a YouTube channel, the App fetches that channel's public RSS feed and oEmbed metadata directly from Google. No YouTube account or sign-in is required.
As with any web request, those services may receive technical information such as your IP address as part of standard internet communication. Please review Google's privacy policy for more information.
The App does not use tracking technologies for advertising purposes and does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. The App does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA).
The App does not sell your personal data and does not share personal data with data brokers or advertisers.
Locally stored data and synced iCloud data remain available until you remove items in the App, sign out of integrations, delete the App, or remove the App's iCloud data through iOS Settings.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
